Asteroid 2021 GT3 will pass between the Earth and moon on April 10

An asteroid will pass near the Earth on April 10, the asteroid is called 2021 GT3 and is a small asteroid about 19 meters in diameter that passes between the Earth and the Moon at a distance of about 255.886 kilometers.

That is certainly far from affecting the earth. It’s a very close flyby on the cosmic scale of things. The asteroid poses no threat to Earth, and even if it did get into the atmosphere, its relatively small size is unlikely to cause any damage.

Interestingly, less than a month after the GT3’s flight over Earth in 2021, another asteroid called 2021 AF8, which is much larger with a width of 260 to 580 meters, will make the Earth flyby. They travel at a very high speed of nine kilometers per second and are expected to travel through the earth at around three kilometers.

Another interesting fact from history is that the famous doctor and astrologer Nostradamus predicted that an asteroid would hit Earth in 2021. The good news is that none of these asteroids pose a real threat to Earth. Preparation for OSIRIS-REx to leave the asteroid Bennu.

The spaceship landed briefly on the surface of the asteroid, created a crater with its instruments, and collected samples to bring them back to Earth. May 10: OSIRIS-REx will take about two years to return to Earth with its samples, and scientists around the world are looking forward to the day they can get their hands on the samples for testing.
